Getting here

By ferry

The proper way to arrive. Mersey Ferries run from Liverpool Pier Head to Woodside — the stage is right at the terminal. Eight minutes on the water.

By train

Merseyrail to Hamilton Square (Wirral line) — a 6-minute walk downhill to the river. Trains every few minutes from Liverpool through the loop.

By car

Off the A41, 5 minutes from the Queensway (Birkenhead) tunnel. Pay-and-display parking at Woodside and along Shore Road. No on-site parking.

By bus

Birkenhead bus station (Europa Boulevard) is a 10-minute walk. Loads of routes from across Wirral stop in the town centre.

On foot & bike

The Wirral Circular Trail runs right past. Sheltered cycle racks on site — pedal up the prom and lock in.

On the day

Doors 1:00pm, music from 1:30pm. Last ferry back to Liverpool well after the headliners — check the day’s sailing times.

Before & after

Make a day of it. A few favourites within a short stroll of the site.

The Swinging Arm

Proper live-music boozer — the spiritual home of the festival. Warm-up pints and after-parties.

Molly’s

Friendly bar a few minutes up the hill. Good spot to gather the gang before doors.

Woodside cafés

Coffee, bacon barms and a river view to ease you into the day before the blues kick off.

The waterfront

Stretch your legs along the prom between sets — best skyline view on the whole Mersey.
